Patrick Parker and I had a little recording session not too long ago which turned into Money Filter. Youth Group Gallery had a show on 4.20 where 4 bands played freely for 20 minutes. Here’s the teaser from the show. I have a myspace up as well with some of the Money Filter recordings.

TEDx

I just stumbled across this offshoot the other day while on TED’s website.
They meet every week here in nyc on Tuesday mornings 10-11am. I attended the past TEDx session here thinking there would be a live speaker. to find that it’s a room with office chairs and a tv screen playing a TED talk. Not to discourage anyone from wanting to attend, though – we did have a decently progressive discussion afterwards. I was definitely the youngest attendee, by about 8 years I’d say. So please come if you’re interested and help me represent our generation!
Anyways, the best thing about it was the connection I made following. I met a man named Raghava, recently moved to Brooklyn from India. We had coffee and a really nice chat. He’s an incredible artist. Below are “Couch, carpet, floor” and “If you…” from his Incoherent Scraps of Gluttony series.
